Groundbreaking ceremonies for the clinic building were held March 31, 1987. The community donated money through fund raising efforts. SMCH purchased the land and constructed the building and McCrary Rost Clinic staffed the facility. The clinic opened November 2, 1987. Moderate complexity lab services, radiography, EKG and a retail pharmacy are available on site. The clinic phone is open at 8 a.m. and office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Derek Duncan, M.D., Family Practice with O.B. is in the Lake View clinic on Wednesday mornings for O.B. patients. Nancy Flink, P.A.C. is in the Lake View Clinic on Fridays with appointments starting at 7:30 a.m.

McCrary Rost Clinic, Lake City is located in the Center for Health Services which is attached to Stewart Memorial Community Hospital. The center also includes Lake City Dental Clinic, Rock Vision Clinic, and Community Pharmacy, creating a health care resource. The hospital and clinic have combined lab, radiology, and medical records departments. Medical staff includes Kevin Hibbett, M.D., Surgeon and Marc Miller, D.O., Board Certified Surgeon; Family Practice/O.B. Linda Iler, M.D., Shane Young, M.D., and Derek Duncan, D.O. and Family Practice Providers Nancy Flink, P.A.-C., Robert Hedges, D.O., and Pat Weishaar, P.A.-C.

The clinic phone line is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Clinic Office hours are Monday through Friday starting at 7:30 a.m. with Nancy Flink, P.A.-C. or Pat Weishaar, P.A.C. All other provider’s clinic office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Robert Hedges, D.O. is in the Lake City Clinic Monday through Thursday until 6:00 p.m. Elsie Verbik, M.D. is in the Lake City clinic on Fridays. She is a Family Practice Physician, certified in Bariatrics Medicine.

McCrary Rost Clinic opened in Dayton in November 2000 as a result of a joint effort between community leaders and Stewart Memorial Community Hospital. Clinic Hours are:  Monday 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 Noon. During non-clinic hours, calls are transferred to Gowrie. CLIA waived lab is performed on site with send out for other lab testing.  Radiography and physical therapy services are also available at the Gowrie office.

The original clinic building in Rockwell City opened in December 1978. After ten years of successful operation it was necessary to remodel the building to better serve the needs of patients. The building had been leased by a non-profit corporation to the McCrary-Rost Clinic and the corporation chose not to do the remodeling. The building was sold to SMCH for $50,000. In 1989 the building was remodeled to provide an x-ray room, retail pharmacy and additional examining rooms. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
