Stewart Memorial Community Hospital recognizes employees that exceed expectations set in our Standards of Behavior and has an impact on their fellow co-workers, patients, hospital guests or family. Each month, employees can be nominated for the Service Hero Award, and/or the Champion of Standards award. The Rewards and Recognition Committee select winners based on certain criteria.
The Champion of Standards winner is an employee nominated by a co-worker, department leader, patient, family member, or guest for accomplishments on the job or outside the organization that relate to our Standards of Behavior. The quarterly winners are awarded the Champion of Standards parking spot for the month and a gift certificate. CEO Heather Cain presents the awards during a brief ceremony. Each winner is then eligible for the Standard Champion of the Year award.
The Service Hero winner of this award must be mentioned by name on Patient Satisfaction Survey or nominated by a department leader/supervisor for a specific act exemplifying the Standards of Behavior and/or for doing their job really well.
