Specially trained nurses on each shift care for both you and your new baby and attend to your every need. Your baby stays with you as much as you desire so you can learn your newborn’s unique behaviors. Our nurses consider teaching postpartum and newborn care a top priority and they provide hands-on teaching tailored to your specific needs.

Our newborn nursery is connected to the O.B. nurse’s station and is always available when Mom needs extra rest. Stewart Memorial offers all of our newborns a free hearing screening and follow-up as necessary. An O.B. nurse is on staff 24 hours a day and available to answer questions at anytime.

Before you go home
At Stewart Memorial, we don’t just help babies arrive. We help families prepare, grow and thrive before, during and long after you’ve taken your new baby home.
