Orthopaedic Surgeon and Fellowship in Spinal Surgery
Dr. Hieb is an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital. In addition to providing general orthopaedic care, she performs arthroscopy of different joints, fracture care, carpal/cubital tunnel surgery, joint injections and aspirations, pediatric orthopaedic care, and kyphoplasty of the spine. Dr. Hieb is an Iowa native and attended Grinnell College and the University of Iowa. She earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY. Before returning to Iowa she ran a successful practice in Yuma, Arizona for 14 years.

Dr. Pablo Amador is a Board Certified Family Physician who has over seven years of experience in clinical practice. He sees patients in Rockwell City and Lake City. Dr. Amador offers the full spectrum of family care including adult medicine, geriatrics, women’s health, and obstetrics. Dr. Amador earned his bachelors and masters degree at Columbia University in New York City. He completed medical school at the University of Guadalajara Medical School in Jalisco, Mexico and New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. Previously, Dr. Amador practiced in Minnesota, at the Madelia Clinic. Dr. Amador enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing chess, swimming, reading and listening to music.

Dr. Araceli Amador is a Board Certified Family Physician who is seeing patients in Lake City and Lake View.  Dr. Amador offers the full spectrum of family care, including delivering babies and women’s health.  She completed medical school at the University of Guadalajara Medical School in Jalisco, Mexico and completed her residency in family practice at the University of Wiconsin in Wausau, WI.  She is fluent in English and Spanish.  Dr. Amador is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.  When Dr. Amador is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, outdoor activities, reading and listening to music.

Dr. Thomas Dulaney is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and provides surgical and clinic care at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. His practice covers all areas of orthopaedics including knee and hip replacement. He has special interests in joint replacement, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery and trauma injuries. Dr. Dulaney is a graduate from the University of Iowa and the University of Iowa College of Medicine where he earned his Medical Degree. He completed his residency in Akron, Ohio in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Summa Health System. Dr. Dulaney, a West Des Moines native, is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Iowa Medical Society and the Polk County Medical Society.

Dr. Kyle Ver Steeg II, a board certified plastic surgeon, offers a wide variety of plastic and reconstructive surgery solutions, all of which can be performed in the state-of -the-art surgery center at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. Dr. Ver Steeg attended the University of Iowa and majored in Biochemistry with a minor in Chemistry. He graduated cum laude in 1996 and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Dr. Ver Steeg then worked as a researcher in the Department of Microbiology at the University of Iowa. The results of his research were published in scientific literature. Dr. Ver Steeg completed a five year residency in General Surgery at Kansas University Medical Center, a busy university based inner city trauma center.

Dr. Miller graduated from Oregon State University and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University. He also spent five years as a surgical resident at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Prior to coming back to Iowa, Dr. Miller was a member of the faculty at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO., serving as their academic surgeon for more than six years.

Dr. Hornback is a Board Certified Family Physician and offers Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Adult Medicine in Lake City. Dr. Hornback began her medical career working as a Certified Medical Assistant and then as a Registered Nurse. She attended Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center receiving her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Her residency was completed at Iowa Lutheran Family Medicine in Des Moines. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association. When Dr. Hornback is not caring for patients, she is spending time with her family.

Following four years in the Navy, Dr. Frate attended George Mason University in Fairfax, VA and then went on to medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Lake Erie, PA. He completed four years of residency in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Frate and his wife Wendy have four children. His hobbies include running, fishing and cheering on his alma mater, the George Mason Patriots.

Dr. Christopher Nelson is an Orthopaedic Surgeon providing surgical and clinical care at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. Dr. Nelson specializes in reconstructive surgery of the adult hip and knee. His surgery practice also focuses on complex joint replacement, revision arthroplasty and hip resurfacing. Dr. Nelson completed fellowship training in various joint preservation procedures for adolescents, young adults and adults. The Urbandale, Iowa native also has interest in sports related injuries, knee and shoulder arthroscopy, and musculoskeletal trauma. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa and Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Michigan State University, Garden City Hospital. In his spare time he enjoys time with family, golfing, snowboarding and movies.

Ms. Flink sees patients at the McCrary Rost Clinic in Lake City. Her specialty is Family Medicine with an emphasis on Gerontology. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Dakota, and a Registered Nurse degree from Iowa Central Community College. She belongs to the professional societies of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Iowa Physician’s Assistant Society. When she is not seeing patients, Ms. Flink enjoys

Danni Anderson, P.A. –C, joined the staff at the Lake City McCrary Rost Clinic in July 2011 and offers family care and women’s health.  Mrs. Anderson received her Physician Assistants degree from Des Moines University where she received the Clinical Excellence Award for her graduating class. She completed her medical rotations at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital, Lake City; Mercy, Des Moines; Radiant Complexion Dermatology; Western Iowa Surgery; and Des Moines Orthopaedics. Mrs. Anderson is a member of the Iowa Physician Assistant Society and the American Physician Assistant Association. In her spare time, she and her husband enjoy spending time with family and being outside. She is also a coach for AAU volleyball.

She has seven years of experience in specialized cardiac care, including women’s heart health. Mrs. Swisher earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grandview College and her Masters of Science with a major in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty from Creighton University. Mrs. Swisher and her husband, Dr. Adam Swisher, have two children. The Swisher family enjoys fishing, hunting, golfing and cheering on their favorite sports teams, the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and Cubs.

Mrs. Weber earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Iowa and her Master of Science with a major in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty from Creighton University. Mrs. Weber grew up in Sac County and has volunteered for many projects including Children’s Miracle Network, Auburn Summer Recreation Soccer Coach and Lake View little league baseball coach.  Mrs. Weber is married and has one son.
