Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapy department opened in 1998 and helps patients regain as much independence and physical function in their daily life as possible.

Occupational therapy uses purposeful activity to prevent dysfunction or deformity, maintain health, and maximize independence.

This therapy is concerned with a person's ability to perform activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, feeding, and household chores, as well as, work and leisure activities.

Some people choose adaptive equipment to help them perform activities in a safe and effective manner.

Lisa Findley, OTR/L, full time Occupational Therapist and Cindy Arnold, OTR/L, Occupational Therapist, work with inpatients, outpatients, three home health agencies, two hospice agencies, and Opportunity Living.

The patients have a variety of diagnosis including stroke, hip replacement, carpal tunnel syndrome, and hand/arm injuries.  Lisa also works with people suffering from vertigo or dizziness.
