Physical Therapy

    

Staffed with four physical therapists – Bob Dickkut, Jill Birks, Bob Arnold, and Pearl Irwin the department sees patients referred by physicians, physician assistants and family nurse practitioners. Bob Arnold is one of a handful of physical therapists in Iowa who is trained to perform electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction testing. Jill Birks and Pearl Irwin are certified athletic trainers.

A large percentage of our patients have problems with their necks, backs, fractures, sprains, strains, tendonitis, and bursitis. Services include wound care, cardiac rehab for inpatients, pulmonary rehabilitation, and assisting physicians with cardiac stress tests. We treat inpatients, outpatients, and two Area Home Health agencies and staff an outpatient clinic at McFarland Clinic, Rockwell City (712) 297-5016.
