Dr. Elijah Miller earned his bachelor’s degree from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska, and his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Kansas City University.

Dr. Miller is licensed in Iowa and is board eligible in orthopedic surgery. His specialties include joint replacement, sports medicine, and fracture care. Originally from Holstein, Iowa, he enjoys outdoor activities, live music, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes.

From a young age, Laccey knew she wanted to care for others. She joined UnityPoint Clinic Orthopedics in April 2021 after 16 years of healthcare experience in intensive care, wound care, skilled care, long term care and public health.

Laccey loves orthopedics because she’s able to help people in pain get back to their normal function and offer hands-on care. She believes every patient deserves amazing care and she’ll do everything she can to help them. She has a special interest in trauma orthopedic cases.

As a Fort Dodge native, Laccey is very involved in the community. When she’s not working, she enjoys coaching soccer, attending her kids’ sporting events, exercising, golfing, camping and being outdoors.

Dr. Hartman grew up in Cedar Rapids and later graduated from the University of Iowa. He attended podiatry college in Chicago at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine before moving to Fort Dodge to complete his residency at the program he now directs. He enjoys seeing patients from infants to the elderly and offers complete foot and ankle care including sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, and general podiatry.

Josh Smith, DO, is a board-certified general surgeon with Stewart Memorial. After graduating from Des Moines University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine with honors, he completed his residency at Des Moines General Hospital. There, he was appointed Chief Surgery Resident from 1998 to 1999. Dr. Smith is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons and the Iowa Osteopathic Medical Association. When he’s not spending time with his five children, Dr. Smith enjoys a variety of outdoor activities including skiing, fishing, and scuba diving.

Dr. Richardson became interested in medical science at a young age, being the daughter of veterinarians. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree at Iowa State University, and earned her Medical Degree from the University of Iowa, making her a proud CyHawk. Before coming to Stewart Memorial, her family lived in Nebraska as she completed her medical residency. Dr. Richardson is passionate about obstetrics, lactation support, pediatrics, and women’s health. Dr. Richardson enjoys spending her free time with her family. She says, “To be a part of serving the great need for rural healthcare in my own hometown is such a privilege.”
