Free Medicare Seminar at SMCH - October 2
Are you going to be eligible for Medicare in the near future? Have you been on Medicare for a while and want to better understand what it offers? Do you assist a family member with Medicare issues? SMCH invites you to attend a free Medicare counseling seminar on Wednesday, October 2 at 5:00 pm in the SMCH Conference Center.
The seminar, titled “Welcome to Medicare,” is designed to help individuals better understand the complexities of Medicare and make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage. Whether you are new to Medicare or have been enrolled for years, this event will provide valuable information.
Topics covered during the seminar will include:
- Medicare Parts A & B benefits
- Prescription drug benefits (Part D)
- Medicare Advantage plans
- Medicare Supplement insurance
- Identifying fraud, errors, and abuse
The seminar will be presented by local Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) counselors, Cindy Carstens and LeAnn Olhausen. SHIIP Counselors are trained professionals who can provide unbiased information and assistance to Medicare beneficiaries.
“Understanding Medicare can be overwhelming, but it’s crucial to have the right information to make the best choices for your healthcare needs,” said Cindy Carstens, SHIIP Counselor at SMCH. “We encourage everyone who is eligible for Medicare or has questions about the program to attend this free seminar.”
