Randy Small, RN

Emergency Care

Randy Small, RN, is the Emergency Department Director with a strong background in emergency care and a passion for serving his community. He began his healthcare career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), working from 2003 to 2017, before advancing to a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 2017 and earning his Associate Degree in Nursing from Iowa Central Community College in 2018. Randy holds specialized training in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). His professional focus is centered on emergency care, and he takes pride in leading his team in high-pressure, life-saving situations. Outside of work, Randy enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. He is actively involved in the community through the Pomeroy Men’s Club, coaching at Pocahontas Area Schools, and serving as a first responder for Calhoun County EMS.
