Our visiting providers diagnose, manage, and treat various heart conditions at our Outpatient Specialty Center in Lake City. This integrated approach allows patients to receive top-tier cardiac care without the need to travel far from home.

Iowa Heart Center

Stewart Memorial Community Hospital brings cardiac care to area residents through a valuable partnership with the Iowa Heart Center. The Iowa Heart Clinic is located in the Outpatient Specialty Center at Stewart Memorial Lake City Clinic.

Iowa Heart Center offers clinical cardiology services to help patients with the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease, including consultations, cardiac and vascular testing, and follow-up visits to assess your progress. High-quality heart and vascular imaging are also available in Lake City.

Services offered include:

Echocardiograms – Ultrasound imaging to check heart function.
ABI (Ankle-Brachial Index) – A simple test to assess blood flow in your legs.
Segmental Pressures and Waveforms (Segs and Waves) – Evaluates blood flow in leg arteries. This is helpful if you experience pain while walking.
Arterial and Venous Ultrasounds – Creates detailed images of arteries and veins in the arms or legs to check for blockages or blood flow issues.

Signs It’s Time to Visit a cardiologist:

Chest discomfort or pressure

Shortness of breath

Getting winded more easily than usual, especially with light activity or when lying down.

Irregular heartbeat or palpitations

Dizziness or fainting
