Frequently asked questions:

Pediatric therapy services are individualized to meet your child’s unique needs and goals. After an initial evaluation, your child may receive physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), and/or speech therapy (ST) to support their development in areas such as movement, strength, coordination, daily skills, communication, and feeding.

Sessions are typically play-based, engaging, and goal-oriented to help your child build skills in a fun and supportive environment. Therapists also provide education and home strategies so you can carry over progress between visits.

When appropriate, therapists may co-treat, meaning two or more disciplines (PT, OT, or ST) work together during the same session. This collaborative approach can improve coordination of care and address multiple needs more efficiently.

Your child’s plan of care is regularly updated based on progress, with a focus on helping them reach their highest level of independence and participation at home, school, and in the community.

Each child progresses at an individual pace.

  • Progress depends on attendance, participation, and home practice.
  • Therapy is not a quick fix; meaningful change requires time and consistency.
  • Goals will be reviewed and updated regularly.
