At Stewart Memorial Community Hospital, we’re here to make your labor and delivery experience as safe, comfortable, and meaningful as possible. Our dedicated OB team is committed to providing expert, compassionate care from the moment you arrive through the birth of your baby.
Our labor and delivery suites are modern, private, and designed to support both clinical excellence and your comfort. Whether you’re planning a natural birth or need a cesarean section, we offer a full range of services tailored to your needs—all in a calming, family-friendly environment.

- Comfortable, serene and secure atmosphere
- Warm, modern accommodations including flat screen television and DVD player
- Whirlpool tub in a spacious, private bathroom
- Birthing beds for the most comfortable labor and birthing positions
- Extra sleeping accommodations for your support person

What to Expect
Specially trained nurses on each shift care for both you and your new baby and attend to your every need. Your baby stays with you as much as you desire so you can learn your newborn’s unique behaviors. Our nurses consider teaching postpartum and newborn care a top priority and they provide hands-on teaching tailored to your specific needs. An OB nurse is on staff 24 hours a day and available to answer questions at anytime. We also offer lactation specialist consultations to help ensure successful breastfeeding techniques.
Before you go home, baby care lessons are provided for the whole family and a celebration dinner is sent home with the new parents. After you go home, your care providers are available to answer your questions from home.
