Stewart Memorial Begins Restore & Renew Project in Rockwell City

For generations, Stewart Memorial has been here to help families get the care they need close to home. As the needs of the communities it serves continue to change, Stewart Memorial is investing in Rockwell City through the Restore & Renew project. The project will create more space for care, improve how patients move through their visits and provide room for services to grow.
On August 2, Stewart Memorial leaders, providers, community members and supporters gathered in Rockwell City to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Restore & Renew project.
“This renewal allows us to better align our spaces with the services we provide today while positioning the clinic to meet the growing needs of tomorrow,” said Stewart Memorial CEO Linn Block. “Our focus remains on improving access, enhancing the patient experience and supporting the providers who care for our community every day.”
A New Chapter for Rockwell City
Restore & Renew will take place in two phases. The first phase will include construction of a new Rockwell City Clinic, creating space for primary care, behavioral health and Community Pharmacy services.
The new clinic will feature:
- Expanded primary care services
- Private behavioral health areas
- Improved access and patient flow
- Integrated Community Pharmacy services
- Modernized outpatient spaces
The second phase will focus on renovating the existing clinic to create expanded rehabilitation services. Physical, occupational and speech therapy spaces will move from the basement into fully accessible, functional spaces designed to support patients of all ages.
The renovated rehabilitation spaces will support:
- Seniors maintaining mobility and preventing falls
- Adults recovering from injury or illness
- Children receiving pediatric therapy services
The project will create spaces where patients can receive care closer to home while providing providers and staff with environments that better support their work.

Community Support
The Restore & Renew project represents a $5.8 million investment in healthcare in Rockwell City. Stewart Memorial has established a $1 million public campaign goal to support the project.
Community members, businesses, organizations and families are invited to support the campaign at a level that is meaningful to them. Contributions will help create spaces where patients can receive care, work toward recovery and maintain greater independence.
Naming opportunities are also available throughout the new clinic and rehabilitation spaces.
