Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics is celebrating the recent achievement of Chief Nursing Officer Ann Lengeling, who has completed the National Rural Health Association’s Rural Hospital CNO Certification Program.
The nationally recognized program is designed specifically for nursing executives serving rural hospitals and focuses on the unique leadership and operational challenges of rural healthcare. For Lengeling, completing the certification represents more than professional development. It reflects her ongoing commitment to strengthening nursing leadership and supporting the delivery of quality care to patients and families throughout the communities Stewart Memorial serves.
“Ann is deeply committed to our patients, our nursing team and the communities we serve,” said Linn Block, CEO of Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics. “She continually looks for opportunities to grow as a leader and bring new knowledge and perspective back to Stewart Memorial. This certification is a reflection of that commitment, and we are proud of the work she continues to do to strengthen our organization and the care we provide.”
Throughout her career, Lengeling has focused on supporting the nursing team and helping Stewart Memorial continue to meet the changing needs of rural communities. Her role as Chief Nursing Officer includes providing leadership for nursing services and working alongside providers, staff and organizational leaders to support quality patient care.
The Rural Hospital CNO Certification Program provides nursing leaders with education and resources specific to the rural healthcare environment. Lengeling’s completion of the program adds to her leadership experience and strengthens her ability to help guide Stewart Memorial’s nursing services into the future.
