Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics Celebrates Volunteer of the Month: Kristi Jacobs

November is the season of thanks, and Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics would like to express our gratitude to all the volunteers who generously give their time and talents. This month, our Volunteer Spotlight shines on Kristi Jacobs.
Kristi has been sharing her time and talents at Stewart Memorial Hospital’s gift shop for about 10 years, making a lasting impact on patients, visitors, and staff.

When asked what inspired her to start volunteering, Kristi shared, “Someone told me they were a volunteer, and I just thought it sounded like a good idea, so I started volunteering.” Since then, she has been a dedicated presence in the gift shop, running the cash register, restocking shelves, helping with pricing, and assisting wherever needed.

Kristi also gives back beyond the hospital. Alongside her husband, she helps run the food bank at Lake City Union Church, distributing food each month and supporting the community. She is actively involved in church circles and funeral support, and she and her husband are longtime supporters of South Central Calhoun Titan events.

Reflecting on her time volunteering, Kristi said, “I just like coming here. There’s nothing specific that stands out. I just love coming here and working.” Her commitment, kindness, and positive spirit make Stewart Memorial a better place every day.

Stewart Memorial Hospital and Clinics thanks Kristi, and all our volunteers, for their dedication and generosity. Volunteers help make our community stronger, brighter, and more connected.
