AboutAdvanced registered nurse practitioner Diana Smith joins the medical staff at McCrary Rost Clinic Gowrie. A native of Independence, Iowa, Diana studied nursing at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, earning her bachelor of science in nursing in 2007. She then began her nursing career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Minneapolis Children's Hospital. She entered the Masters of Nursing program at the University of Cincinnati in March 2010. That year she also returned to Iowa and, while completing her advanced degree, was employed by Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa.
She graduated with honors upon completion of her master's degree in March 2012. After completing her education she accepted a position in dermatology where she received advanced training in the administration of Botox and Juvederm. Diana will see patients at McCrary Rost Clinic in Gowrie two to three days each month. She enjoys camping and watching movies with her husband and three children. Diana currently sits on the board of directors for the Iowa Nurse Practitioner Society and serves as the NW district and Marketing representative. She also serves on the board of directors at PC Early Learning Center.
