Brittany Behrens, RN, Earns Honorable DAISY Award

Brittany Behrens, a nurse in our OB department, recently accepted the DAISY Award for Nurses. A patient submitted the nomination for Brittany after receiving her excellent care.

Here's what she said:

"Brittany was the night nurse for my planned induction. This was my third child/induction, so I was ready – until labor starts. Brittany answered all my questions, made me feel like a friend, comforted my uncertainties, and provided me exceptional care and advise. The next day she came in early to assist with my delivery, she stayed late, she visited, and she gave my baby the best care while he was in the nursery. Walking out there and seeing the love she was giving him so I could rest & recover was indescribable. I felt like she was saying ‘I have your back’ and in those moments it was what this new momma needed."
