New Year Baby Arrives at SMCH

The Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) Obstetrics Department recently welcomed its first arrival of 2024. On January 13, Nali Sage was born to parents Jennasee and Landon of Fort Dodge. She entered the world at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, amidst an incredible snowstorm. The National Weather Service reported 30 mph wind gusts and negative 20-degree temperatures that day.

Nali Sage weighed 7 pounds and measured 19.5 inches long. She was delivered by Julia Richardson, MD, and was welcomed by one older sister.

To celebrate the birth of the New Year Baby, the family was given a basket of gifts generously donated by SMCH and its employees. The gift basket included diapers and baby wipes, blankets, toys, bottle cleaner brushes, various lotions, washes and ointments, swaddle wraps, caps, hooded towels, bibs, monthly milestone cards, and more.
