SMCH Concludes Nurses Week By Announcing DAISY Winners

Stewart Memorial Community Hospital and McCrary-Rost Clinics are thrilled to announce Jenni Macke and Bobbi Jo Wempe as their 2024 recipients of The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.

The DAISY Award is a prestigious recognition for nurses who consistently provide exceptional care. Jenni and Bobbi Jo were nominated by their patients for exceeding expectations and going above and beyond in their commitment to patient well-being.

“Nurses like Jenni and Bobbi Jo are the heart and soul of our healthcare team,” said Ann Lengeling, SMCH Chief Nursing Officer. “They consistently demonstrate the compassion, communication, and teamwork that are hallmarks of DAISY Award recipients. We are incredibly proud to have them on our staff.”

About The DAISY Award Program at SMCH

SMCH, in partnership with the DAISY Foundation and Purdue Global, acknowledges nurses who make a difference through the DAISY Award program. Recipients receive not only the prestigious award itself, but also access to valuable benefits such as reduced tuition, conference scholarships, and special rates on certifications.

SMCH and McCrary-Rost Clinics encourage the community to nominate outstanding nurses who embody the DAISY Award’s spirit. Nomination forms are available at www.stewartmemorial.org or at any McCrary-Rost Clinic location.

About The DAISY Foundation

The DAISY Award is not-for-profit and was established by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Patrick’s compassionate care during his illness inspired the creation of this award, a way to express profound gratitude to nurses who make a difference in the lives of their patients.
